My reminders aren't firing

First, check that notifications are enabled: open iOS Settings → Apps → R/R → Notifications and make sure "Allow Notifications" is on. Also check that you're not in a Focus mode that silences the app, and that Low Power Mode isn't aggressively limiting background activity. If a reminder's days or active window don't include the current time, it won't fire — that's expected.

How many reminders can I have?

The free tier includes one notification reminder, with no time limit. Pro unlocks up to three notification reminders plus unlimited alarm reminders. Notifications are capped at three because iOS limits every app to 64 pending notifications — we keep a comfortable margin so nothing gets dropped. Alarms use a separate system, so they aren't capped.

Why don't alarms work on my phone?

Alarm reminders are built on Apple's AlarmKit, which requires iOS 26.1 or later and a Pro subscription. Notification reminders work on iOS 17 and later. If you're on an older iOS version, you can still use notification reminders — you just won't see the alarm option.

The reminders come at unpredictable times. Is that a bug?

No — that's the whole idea. Instead of firing at fixed times, Random Reminders spreads your reminders randomly across the active window you set, and reshuffles them regularly. The unpredictability is what keeps the prompts from fading into background noise. You control the window, how many times per day, and which days of the week; the app picks the exact moments.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not inside the app. Open iOS Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Random Reminders, then cancel. You'll keep Pro access until the end of the current billing period. The lifetime purchase is one-time and never renews.

How do I restore a purchase?

If you reinstalled the app or switched devices, open Settings inside Random Reminders and tap Restore purchases. Your Pro access will be reactivated using your Apple ID. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used to purchase.

How do I delete my data?

Your reminders live on your device and in your personal iCloud account — we never store them. To remove everything, delete the app and disable iCloud sync for Random Reminders in iOS Settings. For anything else, see our Privacy Policy or email us.
